An all-metal inductive sensor NMF12141 with a stainless steel sensing face is a robust component for modern industrial automation, smart manufacturing systems, and heavy-duty applications.
This M12 sensor is an essential component of modern industrial detection systems, offering reliable operation and increased resistance to harsh working conditions. Thanks to its diameter, Ø12 x 68 mm allows easy adaptation to different machine designs and mounting structures.
Technical specification:
- Diameter: M12, extended detection range compared to smaller sensor models
- Length: 68 mm, extended housing with increased mechanical rigidity
- Sensing range: 4 mm
- Housing: Threaded sensor
- Housing material: Stainless steel housing
- Sensor face material: Stainless steel housing
- Mounting: Flush mounting, lower sensitivity to mechanical damage and external impact
- Switching function: NO, normally open (NO) switching state in idle condition
- Cable length: n/d
- Supply voltage: DC 10-30V, protection against typical voltage fluctuations in control circuits
Applications
- They support the automation of welding processes and steel structure assembly applications.
- Monitors machining processes in CNC machining centers.
- Delivers reliable performance in high-speed packaging and processing environments.
- Used in robotic systems for precise position monitoring of components.
- Delivers reliable performance in demanding industrial environments requiring high operational reliability.
Features & Benefits
- Precise detection of metal components in assembly processes.
- Fast response in dynamic machining processes.
- Stable detection in high-throughput production processes.
- Compatibility with industrial robots and EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) systems.
- Resistance to electromagnetic interference.
When to choose this model
- Provides increased mechanical resistance thanks to its durable all-metal sensor housing.
- Ideal for larger industrial machines and heavy-duty automation equipment.
- Suitable for installations requiring greater mounting flexibility and mechanical tolerance.
- A universal all-metal sensor solution for medium-demanding applications requiring extended detection range, high mechanical strength, and long-term reliability.
Connection
The sensor has an NPN output, so connect it with an M12 4-pin connection cable without LEDs. Cables with LEDs (NXOC12281…, NXOC12401…) have a yellow status LED wired for a PNP output and are not suitable for NPN sensors.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
