An industrial inductive sensor NMF08251 with a stainless steel sensing face offers outstanding mechanical durability, high resistance to wear, and stable performance during intensive operation.
M8 all-metal sensors are ideal for applications where standard sensor dimensions are too large and where resistance to mechanical damage is required. Ø8 x 70 mm sensors can be installed in narrow structural spaces and compact machine assemblies.
Technical specification:
- Diameter: M8, standard diameter of inductive sensors
- Length: 70 mm, larger threaded mounting surface for secure installation
- Sensing range: 3,5 mm
- Housing: Threaded sensor
- Housing material: Stainless steel housing
- Sensor face material: Stainless steel housing
- Mounting: Non-flush mounting, larger lateral sensing field for improved object detection capability
- Switching function: NO, signal generated upon detection of a metal target
- Cable length: n/d
- Supply voltage: DC 10-30V, compatibility with PLC control systems and industrial automation networks
Applications
- They are used in assembly processes to verify the correct positioning and seating of parts.
- Supports the automation of cutting, milling, and machining processes.
- Detects product position during packaging processes.

When to choose this model
- Provides an excellent balance between compact dimensions, robust construction, and high operational performance.
- Designed for medium and lightweight industrial loads with high resistance to mechanical wear.
- Suitable for a broad range of OEM applications and custom industrial machinery.
- Frequently used in production automation systems and industrial control applications.
Connection
The sensor has an NPN output, so connect it with an M12 4-pin connection cable without LEDs. Cables with LEDs (NXOC12281…, NXOC12401…) have a yellow status LED wired for a PNP output and are not suitable for NPN sensors.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
