A durable inductive sensor NIS08531 with a PBT sensing face is widely used in modern industrial installations.
M8 sensors are suitable for places where standard sizes are too large. Ø8 x 60 mm sensors fit well into moderately dense component layouts.
Technical specification:
- Diameter: M8, good compromise between size and detection range
- Length: 60 mm, used in large industrial installations
- Sensing range: 4 mm
- Housing: Threaded housing sensor
- Housing material: Stainless steel, long sensor lifetime
- Sensing face material: PBT,
- Mounting: non-flush mounting
- Switching function: NO, signal generated upon metal detection
- Cable length: n/d
- Supply voltage: DC 10-30V, commonly used control supply
Applications
- Monitoring of component presence in production transport systems.
- Detection of workpieces before machining operations.
- Control of labeling and dosing machines.
- Control of cycle operation in automated production lines.
- Application in OEM machine automation.
Features and Benefits
- Resistance to vibrations and intensive operation
- Compatibility with standard industrial control systems
- Stable detection in high-throughput processes
- Compatibility with industrial robots and EOAT systems
When to choose this model
- Suitable for stable detection of metal parts.
- Good for medium and light loads.
- Suitable for mass production.
- Used in quality control systems.
Connection
The sensor has an NPN output, so connect it with an M8 3-pin connection cable without LEDs. Cables with LEDs (NXOC08261…, NXOC08121…) have a yellow status LED wired for a PNP output and are not suitable for NPN sensors.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
