Connection
The sensor has two outputs, NO and NC, on separate pins (NO on pin 4, NC on pin 2), so connect it with an M12 4-pin connection cable without LEDs, which brings out both pins separately. In cables with LEDs (NXOC12281…, NXOC12401…) pins 2 and 4 are joined inside the connector, so they are not suitable for sensors with two outputs.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
