A stainless steel all-metal inductive sensor NMF12151 is engineered for extended service life in harsh industrial environments exposed to impacts, contamination, and extreme operating conditions.
The M12 sensor belongs to a family of all-metal solutions developed for advanced industrial automation systems requiring durability, accuracy, and resistance to mechanical wear. The Ø12 x 68 mm diameter provides an excellent balance between compact dimensions and reliable mounting stability.
Technical specification:
- Diameter: M12, high mechanical resistance of the cylindrical sensor housing
- Length: 68 mm, extended housing with increased mechanical rigidity
- Sensing range: 6 mm
- Housing: Threaded sensor
- Housing material: Stainless steel housing
- Sensor face material: Stainless steel housing
- Mounting: Non-flush mounting, full exposure of the sensing area for maximum detection performance
- Switching function: NO, standard operating logic used in inductive sensors
- Cable length: n/d
- Supply voltage: DC 10-30V, standard power supply range for industrial sensors
Applications
- They are used in assembly processes to verify the correct positioning and seating of parts.
- Used in automated material feeding and handling systems.
- Integrated into packaging forming and sealing machines.
- Integrated into automated assembly and manufacturing systems.
- Supports equipment operating under high-duty cycle conditions.
Features & Benefits
- Easy integration with robotic systems and PLC control systems.
- High mechanical resistance in demanding operating conditions.
- Stable detection in high-throughput production processes.
- High positioning accuracy of components in robotic systems.
- Resistance to electromagnetic interference.
When to choose this model
- Selected for applications requiring extended detection distance and stable sensing performance.
- Suitable for reliable detection of larger metal components and machine elements.
- Ideal for upgrading existing industrial systems with a more durable all-metal sensor solution.
- Used in serial production processes requiring consistent and repeatable detection.
Connection
The sensor has an NPN output, so connect it with an M12 4-pin connection cable without LEDs. Cables with LEDs (NXOC12281…, NXOC12401…) have a yellow status LED wired for a PNP output and are not suitable for NPN sensors.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
