An inductive sensor NMF12171 with a stainless steel sensing surface ensures stable and reliable operation even in aggressive industrial environments with high levels of contamination.
The M12 inductive sensor is a reliable solution for manufacturing systems and industrial automation applications where long service life and robust construction are important. Ø12 x 50 mm sensors offer universal dimensions suitable for common industrial installations and automation systems.
Technical specification:
- Diameter: M12, extended detection range compared to smaller sensor models
- Length: 50 mm, tandard housing length used in industrial inductive sensors
- Sensing range: 6 mm
- Housing: Threaded sensor
- Housing material: Stainless steel housing
- Sensor face material: Stainless steel housing
- Mounting: Non-flush mounting, full exposure of the sensing area for maximum detection performance
- Switching function: NO, output activated when an object is detected
- Cable length: n/d
- Supply voltage: DC 10-30V, standard power supply range for industrial sensors
Applications
- They ensure precise component position monitoring in automotive assembly lines.
- Delivers reliable performance in high-speed and demanding industrial machining environments.
- Detects product position during packaging processes.
- Delivers reliable performance in advanced robotic and automated production environments.
- Supports actuator control systems and industrial mechanical assemblies.
Features & Benefits
- High signal repeatability in serial production processes.
- Reliable detection of workpiece and tool positions.
- High response speed in packaging lines.
- Compatibility with industrial robots and EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) systems.
- Stable operation in machines with high cyclic loads.
When to choose this model
- Used where an extended sensing range is required compared to standard sensor models.
- Suitable for reliable detection of larger metal components and machine elements.
- Ideal for upgrading existing industrial systems with a more durable all-metal sensor solution.
- Designed for environments with increased production intensity and continuous machine operation.
Connection
The sensor has an NPN output, so connect it with an M12 4-pin connection cable without LEDs. Cables with LEDs (NXOC12281…, NXOC12401…) have a yellow status LED wired for a PNP output and are not suitable for NPN sensors.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
