An industrial inductive sensor NIS12456 with a PBT sensing face combines a compact design with high durability.
The M12 standard inductive sensor is a solution for production systems and automation. The universal Ø12 x 68 mm size facilitates integration into many structures.
Technical specification:
- Diameter: M12, longer detection range compared to smaller models
- Length: 68 mm, designed for demanding operating conditions
- Sensing range: 10 mm
- Housing: Threaded housing sensor
- Housing material: Nickel-plated brass, smooth surface for easier operation
- Sensing face material: PBT, stable dielectric properties for inductive field
- Mounting: non-flush mounting
- Switching function: NO & NC
- Cable length: n/d
- Supply voltage: DC 10-30V, commonly used control supply
Applications
- Quality and presence control of elements in production processes.
- Position control of machine axes and working components.
- Application in packaging transport systems.
- Operation in modern production robotization systems.
- Support for high-duty cycle equipment operation.
Features and Benefits
- Signal repeatability in mass production processes
- Reliable detection of workpiece and tool positions
- Resistance to intensive cyclic operation
- Stable operation in high-duty cycle machines
When to choose this model
- Used in production systems with higher load.
- Performs well in 24/7 production lines.
- Suitable for medium and large-scale systems.
- Good for multi-point systems.
Connection
The sensor has two outputs, NO and NC, on separate pins (NO on pin 4, NC on pin 2), so connect it with an M12 4-pin connection cable without LEDs, which brings out both pins separately. In cables with LEDs (NXOC12281…, NXOC12401…) pins 2 and 4 are joined inside the connector, so they are not suitable for sensors with two outputs.
The diameter of an inductive sensor is a dimension that defines the width of the sensor element measured in millimeters. This is an important technical parameter as it affects the mounting method and the space required for installation.
Rated detection range is a key parameter of an inductive sensor.Indicates the distance at which the sensor changes its output state when a metal object approaches its front end axially. This is the sensor's most important functional feature—it determines how close the object being detected must be in order to be registered.
